Review of the 2021 Stamegna Network- Middle East Food & Beverages and Health & Beauty Event in Dubai

The last one and a half years have been full of challenges, unpredictable numbers, and unfortunate losses for all of us.

The past period was not ideal for traveling in terms of safety, and we faced lock-downs and closed borders all over the Globe, which of course had a big impact on business networking as well.

However, the world does not stop, neither do we, so at Stamegna Retail Management we decided to keep our business events in the virtual space, so far with unbroken success.

Then, the worldwide openings began slowly and cautiously, we kept our eyes and ears open, and after detailed preparations and excitements, we organized the first live event of 2021 exactly a month ago.

On June 27-28 we were running our Middle East Food & Beverages and Health & Beauty Event in wonderful Dubai. The event was hosted at the InterContinental Hotel - Festival City, and attendees were gathered from 31 countries, 55% from the United Arab Emirates and 12 from European countries, but there were participants coming from Latin America, America and Asia as well, and even one partner from India and one from South Africa represented their products at this event.

Overall, we concluded 681 meetings in Dubai where brand owners, directors, and export managers were showcasing their products to category-matched retailers, distributors, and import agencies.

A significant number of buyers came from the UAE (Lulu Group International, Multiplex International LLC, Panda Store Saudi Arabia, Supercare Pharmacy, Al Amir Trading, Amazon UAE, etc.).

Among European retail chains the attendees could meet the Spanish Verdu Canto Saffron, the Fuensabio / Green Spiritand also coming from Spain, the Buram GmbH from Germany, Hungarian Pizza D´Oro/ Seamaster, Bulgarian N&K Cosmetics, the Italian Costa D´Oro, and many more.

All attendees were fully booked with pre-arranged, category-specific meetings. Some of the buyers that were uncertain about traveling requested to attend virtually, so we gave them the opportunity to participate from their laptop, while the other business partner was connected Live from Dubai. The feed-backs from the virtual part of the events are more than positive, as 90% of the attendees were pleased with the course of these type of connections.

The virtual meetings had been interesting and target-orientated.”

We thank every participant for the hard work during the event, following their individual schedules, and taking extra meetings with interested companies.
